With the nonstop coverage of Michael Jackson's tragic passing last week, it is hard not to long for the days where the nightly news centered on the latest indiscretions of Republican politicians-- as you could count on interest in these events lasting for 36 hours at the most. However, before Neverland, Blanket and other incidents of weirdness, Michael Jackson built his reputation on legitimate talent and passion--for music and philanthropy.
